REQUEST FOR BID PROPOSALS FOR "TRUCK SHED DOORS" Sealed Bid Proposals will be received at the office of the Hall County Clerk, 121 S. Pine Street, Grand Island, Nebraska 68801 until 5:00 p.m., (CDT), Monday, October 26, 2020, for Truck Shed Doors at the Hall County Highway Department located at 2900 West 2nd Street. Proposals received after specified time will be returned unopened to sender. Proposals will be publicly opened and read at 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 in the Hall County Board of Commissioners Room located in the Hall County Administration Building at 121 S. Pine Street in Grand Island, Nebraska. Envelopes containing the proposals shall be sealed and marked as follows: County Board Chairperson and County Board C/o Marla Conley, Hall County Clerk Proposal For: "TRUCK SHED DOORS" Bid Proposals will be accepted until 5:00 P.M. (CDT), Monday, October 26, 2020. Proposals to Be Opened: Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at 9:45 a.m. (CDT) Hall County Administration Building 121 South Pine Street Grand Island, Nebraska Bid Proposals shall be submitted on the form provided. Proposers are required to view the Truck Shed at the Hall County Highway Department, 2900 W. 2nd Street, Grand Island, Nebraska 68803 before submitting a Bid Proposal. The truck shed has 5 sliding wood doors along the east wall of the building. Sliding door number 10 will be replaced with a standard steel panel (un-insulated) overhead door. The existing opening is approximately 11'1" wide by 12' tall. The four (4) sliding doors numbered 11, 12, 13, & 14 will be replaced with 2 sets of roll up steel doors. The existing openings are approximately 22'-6" wide by 12'-4" tall. All new doors shall have powered openers with a button on the wall near the door opening. Each opener will also have 2 remote battery powered openers. The steel roll up doors shall be designed for outdoors with weather proofing as required. The contractor shall verify all dimensions to ensure that the doors will fit. The county will remove the existing wood sliding doors, perform or make arrangements for any needed structural modifications to the building, and frame up the opening in preparation for the new doors. Frame work by the county only includes lumber work such as 1-by lumber, 2-by lumber, etc for construction. Any steel frame work needed for the new doors will be provided by and installed by the contractor. The county will make arrangements with an electrician to get power to each of the door openers. No proposal may be withdrawn within a period of forty-five (45) days after the date fixed for Proposal opening. Hall County reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals, or parts of thereof and award contracts as may be deemed to the best interest of the County. The successful proposer will be required to furnish evidence of insurance and to furnish a performance and payment bond in the sum of the full amount of the contract.
