A Grand Island woman says her husband drove his vehicle toward her under hard acceleration as she crossed a driveway Sunday night, almost striking her.

Marisley Garcia Montero, 40, of Grand Island was not injured. The incident occurred shortly before 10 p.m. at 508 Lambert St.

Her husband, Miguel Tellez-Benitez, was referred for second-degree attempted domestic assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony.

Tellez-Benitez, 52, is a Grand Island man who lives at an unknown address.
