YORK – Irene Lira, 44, whose address has been listed in court documents as a variety of locations in York, York County and the Nebraska Correctional Center for Women, was to be sentenced this week for two felonies after being wanted by local authorities, arrested and charged with nine felonies including the delivery of methamphetamine. Sentencing, however, was postponed until Dec. 29.

YORK — York’s First United Methodist Church commemorated its 150th anniversary this fall, tracing its rich history back to June of 1871 in the home of David Baker. York’s FUMC has held several events to celebrate the years of service in the community.
